Root & Bloom Gardens

A successful garden starts with good planning.
When planning your garden, it’s important to consider the Who, What, Where, Why, and How Much. A one-hour consultation can help you answer these critical questions.

Happy April Fools Day!

Here are some great gardening tips:

  1. Bury marshmallows in your garden to make your soil sweeter.

  2. Water with soda to give plants some extra “energy” to grow.

  3. Plant spaghetti trees for fresh pasta harvest.

Just kidding….

Seriously though, now is a great time to have fun in your garden. Clearing out debris from the winter, removing any old weeds, and removing old mulch can be done right now to prepare for spring planting. It’s time to loosen all that soil and add some fresh compost or organic matter to nourish your coming new plants and seeds.

If you haven’t already, start seeds indoors for vegetables like tomatoes and peppers. I’ll post more information soon on how to get your seeds growing successfully indoors. You have about six weeks to get these plants ready to go outside. Get some good starter soil and good seeds for success!
