We love the outdoors and enjoy camping, visiting new hiking trails and National Parks throughout the US. Brad is an avid hunter, so he has been teaching me to hunt all types of wild game and fishing. From the field to the table, we enjoy the experience and the process of the harvest. I have always had a love of gardening, so I have helped him find satisfaction in growing a plant from seed and nurturing it until it’s harvested and on our table. Together, we enjoy working with our hands, from building things with wood, to various landscaping projects around our house in the beautiful Black Hills. We love the Hills and South Dakota and that is why we are teaching others what we have learned through our many experiences.

So many people we speak with have given up on gardening in the Black Hills. Battles with poor soil, weather conditions such as hail, and pests of all kinds including deer have made it seem much harder to be successful. We have learned how to combat each of these in an organic way working with nature, not against.

Whether you desire a garden “experience” or enjoy the relaxing aesthetic of a beautiful garden, want the produce or cut flowers, or have sustainability in mind, there is a garden for you. We can help you find your “why” and then determine the “how”.

Our goal is to help our local gardeners find their Roots in our community and Bloom in their gardens.
